
Allen Miller, 71, of Gillett, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015, in Green Bay.
Allen was born on Dec. 16, 1943, in Oconto Falls to the late Walter and Anna (Konop) Miller Sr. After graduating from high school he joined the U.S. Army and served until he was honorably discharged. On Sept. 19, 1964, Allen was united in marriage to Norma Reed in White Clay Lake; together the couple had two children. Allen owned and operated his own business as a concrete contractor for many years. On Oct. 4, 1997, he married Jacquelynn Babicky in Gillett.
Allen was a generous man who never hesitated to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and trips to casinos.
Allen is survived by his wife of 17 years, Jacquelynn; two children, Bruce (Lisa) Miller, of Gillett, and Lisa (Dave) Erb, of Elgin, Illinois; six grandchildren, Kelli, Nathan, Cameron, Aaron, Emily and Samuel; one great-grandson, Evan; five siblings, Sylvia Kahler, June Miller, Natalie (Jim) Spang, Dean (Nora) Miller and Robert (Karen) Miller; as well as his former wife, Norma Miller. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Nancy Hottenstine; and one brother, Walter Miller Jr.
A private family burial will be held. A gathering of family and friends is being planned for a later date.
