
Gerald J. Nacotee, 60, of South Branch, was called to the Spirit World early Sunday morning, Aug. 16, 2015, in Shawano, surrounded by his family.
Gerald was born June 26, 1955, in Keshena, a son of the late Philip and Beulah (Kitchenakow) Nacotee. He attended St Joseph Catholic Grade School and later Franklin Middle School and Shawano High School. Following school he was employed for many years at Menominee Tribal Enterprises as a sawyer. He loved spending most of his time with his family and telling stories.
He is survived by his six sisters, Evy Nacotee, of South Branch, Jayne (Carson) Nacotee, of South Branch, Debra (Roger) McPherson, of Neopit, Rose Madosh, of Shawano, Mer (Tomcat) Johnson, of South Branch, Patricia Nacotee, of Oconto Falls; three brothers, Darrel (LeAnn) Nacotee, of Green Bay, Tom Nacotee, of South Branch, and Michael Kora, of Madison; his godchildren, Sharon Nacotee Lyons, Kim, Kerry and Kelly Nacotee; special nephew, Michael Alex Peters Jr.; many other nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents; five brothers, Aaron Nacotee, Lyle Nacotee, Jim Hill, Dennis Nacotee and an infant brother, Robert Nacotee; also his Aunt Ag and Uncle Levi.
Funeral services for Gerald Nacotee will be held on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at the Jayne Nacotee residence, W715 Nacotee Addition, South Branch. The Rev. David Barrett will officiate. Interment will be at St Joseph of the Lake Catholic Cemetery, South Branch. Relatives and friends may call at the Nacotee residence until the time of service on Thursday.
