Victoria Marie Kiar, 78, of Shawano, passed away Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, in Appleton. Born on Aug. 29, 1935, in Keshena, she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Augustine (Duquain) Jacobs.
Victoria was raised in the Keshena area, where she attended St. Joseph Grade School. After grade school, she graduated from Haskell High School in Lawrence, Kan. She later married Kenneth Kiar in Milwaukee. For many years Victoria made her home in the Fox Cities area, where she worked for Miller Electric until retiring. In her free time, she enjoyed playing bingo and cards as well as spending time at Bass Lake. Victoria was a member of the St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Keshena.
Victoria is survived by her five children, Fred (Judi) Kiar, of Little Chute, Kenneth Kiar, of Oshkosh, Patricia Koch, of Neenah, Kathy (Mark) Wildenberg, of Kaukauna, and Carol (Jeff) Clark, of Neenah; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. Victoria is further survived by two sisters, Carol Newton, of Shawano, and Patricia Tourtillott, of Keshena; five half-brothers and half-sisters, Joe Duquain, Gregory Jacobs, Earl Jacobs, Terry Jacobs, Alice Jacobs; and her former husband, Kenneth Kiar.
Victoria was preceded in death by a grandson, Mark Kiar; her parents; a brother, Irvin Jacobs; and a sister, Delores Jacobs.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with the Rev. David McElroy, O Praem, officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from noon until the time of the service.
Keith F. Lawrenz, 53, of Shawano, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, at a local nursing home. Born on March 4, 1960, in Port Washington, he was the son of Viola (Perkins) Lawrenz and the late Jacob “Jake” Lawrenz.
Keith graduated from Bonduel High School in 1978. On March 29, 1991, he was united in marriage to Patty McKenna. Keith was a hard worker who spent most of his career building boats. When not at work, he loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing, and enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers.
Keith is survived by his wife, Patty; his daughter, Nicole (special friend, Nick Wetherall) Binkowski, of Shawano; his son, Jacob Lawrenz, of Shawano; his mother, Viola Lawrenz, of Shawano; two brothers, Randall (Laurie) Lawrenz, of Sheboygan, and Jeff Lawrenz, of Cleveland, Wis.; a sister, Janet (special friend, Bob) Lawrenz, of Gillett; his cat, Cuttlz; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
Keith was preceded in death by his father, Jake Lawrenz, and a sister, Betsy Elizabeth Lawrenz.

Charles R. Nybo, 75, of Erlanger, Ky., formerly of Shawano, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, at the Hospice of St. Elizabeth Health Care in Edgewood. Born in Red Wing, Minn., on May 24, 1938, he was a son of the late George R. and Josephine Mae (Bottomley) Nybo.
On Aug. 4, 1961, Charles married Marlene J. Northup in St. Paul, Minn. He was a retired high school teacher at Shawano High School for over 25 years, a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Shawano Assembly of God, now known as River Valley Church, where he served on the Church Board, as a Sunday School teacher and as treasurer, a member of Gideons International, a member of the Shawano Board of Elections, and he attended the Immanuel United Methodist Church in Kentucky.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Marlene; his son, Mark (Kathryn) Nybo, of Crescent Springs, Ky.; his daughter, Kari (John) DeClark, of Niagara; four grandchildren, Luke Nybo, John Nybo, Danielle Wagner and Brad DeClark; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Darlene (Robert) Halverson, of Red Wing, Minn.; one sister-in-law, Mary Lou (Curt) Petersen, of Alden, Minn.; and a host of extended family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, at the River Valley Church in Shawano with the Rev. Dan Taylor officiating. The visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano and at the church on Saturday from noon until the time of the service. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano.

Russell Paul Krueger, 62, was called home to rejoice in the kingdom of Heaven with his parents, Rudy and Anne Krueger, on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014. Born on Oct. 8, 1951, in Shawano, no one knew the positive impact he would share with his family, friends and colleagues.
Married on Oct. 11, 1975, to his life-long friend and high school sweetheart, Kathy Laehn, they set a wonderful example through their 38 years of marriage.
As a resident of Marietta, Ga., for the past 24 years, he was heavily involved with church, Habitat for Humanity and baseball. In his professional life, while working for the same company for 38 years, he was a mentor, teacher and friend to all he encountered. Whether it was singing in the church choir or performing the national anthem at a Braves game, he made everyone smile through his voice.
He is survived by the love of his life, Kathy Krueger; children, Melissa, Rusty, Jessica, Elizabeth; and his granddaughter and “Sweet Pea,” Sydney. He is also survived by his three amazing sisters, Rudi Heinz, Rachel Pankow and Rhonda Jenkins.

James C. “Mr. Jim” Wayka, 68, of Keshena, left his family and friends suddenly on Tuesday morning, Feb. 4, 2014, at the Shawano Medical Center.
Mr. Jim was born Dec. 25, 1945, in Keshena, a son of the late Frank & Elizabeth (Davis) Wayka.
He attended the St. Anthony Catholic School in Neopit and later Shawano High School, graduating in 1966. Following high school he entered the United States Army, where he served during the Vietnam Conflict.
Upon returning from service, Jim attended Midland Technical College in Wisconsin Rapids, where he earned his certification in Early Childhood Development. He later attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and Mount Senario College in Ladysmith.
On Feb. 27, 1982, he was united in marriage to the former Mary Richmond at St Michael’s Catholic Church in Keshena.
Mr. Jim taught for many years, teaching at the Menominee Tribal School for one year and at the South Branch Head Start for one year. The majority of his teaching career was at the Menominee Indian Head Start in Keshena. He taught there for over 28 years, retiring in 2009.
He is a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Keshena.
Jim was dedicated to public service and very active in his community. He served as a member of the Menominee County Board of Supervisors and served as a Menominee Tribal Legislator, being elected in 1998 and serving until 2000. He served continuously on the tribe’s Health Committee. He was a member of the Veterans of the Menominee Nation, and was one of very few Menominee Tribal members with the 7/8 Quantum.
He was a published author and will be remembered for his love of music. He was a loyal fan of the Green Bay Packers and collected Packers memorabilia. He enjoyed spending time out of doors and exercising at the fairgrounds. He was also known to enjoy an occasional trip to the casino.
He is survived by his wife on nearly 32 years, Mary Wayka, of Keshena; three sons, James (Ann Marie) Wayka, of Green Bay, Christopher “Buzz” Wayka and Paul Wayka, both of Keshena; eight grandchildren, Romar, Adrian, Matthew, Alonzo, Tara Leigh, Tavaeh, Christopher and Laviah. He is further survived by a sister, Zillah Tepiew, of Denver, Colo., and a special nephew, Ronnie B. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephew and friends.
Mr. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and eight sisters, Marlene, Elizabeth, Coleen, Darlene, Joyce, Carla, Josephine and Rita. His five brothers, Francis, Earl, Anthony, Greg, David and Leon, also preceded him in death.
A funeral Mass for James C. Wayka will be celebrated on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Keshena. The Rev. David McElroy, O’Praem, will be the celebrant. Interment will take place in the spring in the parish cemetery. Veterans of the Menominee Nation will perform military honors at the church.
Relatives and friends may call at the Father David Barrett Hall at St. Michael’s Catholic Church on Thursday, Feb. 6, after 4 p.m. until the time of Mass on Saturday morning. A parish wake service will be conducted at the parish hall at 8 p.m. Friday.

LeRoy O. Marohl, 85, of Shawano, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, at Shawano. He was born on Oct. 19, 1928, to the late Herman and Rosetta (Rueckert) Marohl in Cecil.
On Jan. 26, 1957, LeRoy was united in marriage to Darlene Montoure. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene Marohl, of Shawano; his children, LeRoy (Shelley) Marohl, Shawano, Deborah (Mark) Vandenberg, Appleton, and Brian (Renee) Marohl, Shawano; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Ila (Neil) Montour; two brothers, Jim (Mary) Marohl and Steve (Deb) Marohl, all of Shawano; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Rosetta Marohl.
On Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, a private visitation and funeral service for immediate family only will be held from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. with private family service at 11 a.m. at Zastrow Funeral Home in Cecil with the Rev. Bonnie L. Young, 67, of the town of Washington, passed away Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 7, 1946, in Shawano, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Hope (Mahn) Seidler.
On Sept. 4, 1965, Bonnie was united in marriage to Robert H. Young at the St. John’s United Church of Christ in Cecil. She worked for Shawano Equity and was a member of the St. John’s United Church of Christ, in Cecil, where she was a former vice president. She also started the Cecil Community Closet, for which she won an award. Bonnie loved being a mother and adored all children, including the kids in the neighborhood who affectionately refer to her as Nonnie. She loved being active and enjoyed riding her bike, swimming, sewing and reading.
Bonnie is survived by her husband of 48 years, Robert; three daughters, Dawn (Gregg Seitz) Young, of Alexandria, Va., Jennifer (Tom) Hutchraft, of Shawano, Melissa (Patrick Hill) Young, of De Pere; three granddaughters, Sabrina Brzezinski, Racheal Hutchcraft, Hannah Hutchcraft; two grandsons, Xanatos Thimke, Zechariah Thimke; two stepgrandchildren, Chris Hutchcraft, Neil Hutchcraft; three great-stepgrandchildren, Calvin Hutchcraft, Kate Hutchcraft, Lana Hutchcraft; two adopted grandsons, Maxwell and Harrison Mueller; and two sisters, Jeanne Klemp and Kim Jackson, both of Shawano.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014, at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Cecil with the Rev. Moira Finley officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Inurnment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in the spring.

Dora Wauters, 87, Green Bay, died Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, at a local nursing home. She was born Nov. 18, 1926, in Hartland to William and Leona (Boetcher) Quandt.
On July 31, 1948, Dora married Charles J. “Chuck” Wauters in Angelica. He preceded her in death on July 24, 2000. Dora was a longtime member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was a member of the D.A.V. Russell Leicht Chapter 3 Auxiliary as well as the American Legion Sullivan Wallen Post 11 Auxiliary. Dora was an avid bingo player.
She is survived by two children and their spouses, Charlie and Claire Wauters, Green Bay, and Susann and Roger Jacques, De Pere; four grandchildren, Ronda Jacques, Sara and Steve Wauters, Charles Wauters and his wife, Hope Liu, and Gerald Wauters; eight great-grandchildren, Jordan, Oreana, Travis, Isabelle, Grace, Seth, Ethan, Helen “Ellie”; a great-great-grandson, Jonathan; four siblings, Adolph, Venetta, Edward (Kathy), and Lester (Sandra); brother-in-law, Gustav; sister-in-law, Dorothy “Sue”; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Dora was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, her parents and a sister, Celia.

Robert James Forrest, 64, of Pulaski, passed away Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, in Green Bay. Born on Feb. 10, 1949, in Green Bay, he was the son of the late Arthur and Beulah (Griepentrog) Forrest.
Robert grew up in the Green Bay area and was a graduate of Bay Port High School. On Sept. 23, 1967, he was united in marriage to Gloria V. Lucht in Green Bay. Robert worked for Diebold for 45 years before retiring. He enjoyed learning about and working around technology, especially when it involved computers. When not working, Robert liked to garden, enjoyed old cars and hot rods, and watching the Green Bay Packers. He was also an avid reader. His most treasured moments were those spent with his family, especially his beloved granddaughter, who affectionately referred to him as Bob–Bob.
Robert is survived by his wife of 46 years, Gloria; his daughter, Angela Forrest, of Green Bay; two sons, Robert Forrest, of Angelica, and Dean Forrest, of Green Bay; his granddaughter, Krystal Holmes-Forrest; three sisters, Patricia Schlag, of Green Bay, Kathryn Pearce, of Green Bay, and Bonnie Forrest, of Cudahy; and a brother, A. Thomas Forrest, of Green Bay.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Beverly Jeanson, Dorothy Miller and Michele Forrest.

Joseph J. “Joe John” Martin, 64, of Keshena, passed away Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, at his home. Born on June 23, 1949, in Keshena, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Helen (Reiter) Martin.
After graduating from high school, Joe John enlisted with the United States Air Force and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. Joe John worked as a welder with the military and as a patrolman with the Menominee Tribal Police. When not at work, he enjoyed bear hunting and fishing.
Joe John is survived by two sons, Joseph Martin Jr. and Christopher Martin, both of California; several grandchildren; five stepchildren, Rose Ann Otradovec, Lynette Upchurch, Reno Edgeton, Lorna (Harold) Odeen, Dorothy Irene Edgeton; and eight siblings, Susan Martin, of Shawano, Larry (Karen) Martin Jr., of Keshena, Bill Martin, of Keshena, Rose (LeRoy) Long, of Keshena, Helene (Joseph) Caldwell, of Keshena, Cindy (Edward) Boivin, of Keshena, Gloria (Randy) Klein, of Keshena, and Jane (fiancé, Ron Otradovic) Martin, of Keshena.

James F. (“Lee” or “Skip”) Keller, 82, born Francis Allie Keller, of Greendale, passed away Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014, surrounded by family, at St. Francis Hospital in Milwaukee. He was born on June 15, 1931, to the late Harry and Ardell (Couillard) Keller, of Marion, into a hardworking farm family.
He graduated from Marion High School in 1949. He played cornet in marching band and sousaphone in polka outfits such as Pits and His Pals and The Dairyland Derbies.
Francis entered the Order of Capuchin Friars Minor (OFM) in 1952 to answer a call to the priesthood and was ordained in 1959, taking the name James. He embraced a simple monastic side of life, and his collegiate professors at the St. Lawrence Seminary, Marquette University and Alverno College saw his great oratory skill. As a very well-traveled preacher, he retained the old tradition of retreats and revivals. James was eventually elevated to administrative positions at retreat houses in Appleton as well as Saginaw and St. Clair, Mich., and oversaw groups of traveling preachers.
James left the OFM in 1971 to be a family man. He married Christine (Franks). Although they later divorced, he never remarried, and James’ greatest accomplishment by far was the family he and Christine built and maintained together. James also enjoyed 12 years of service as a driver and instructor at Milwaukee County Transit System. He was a parishioner, council and choir member at St. James Catholic Church in Franklin. He was an intelligent, compassionate, generous and humble man. He was an accomplished cook and formidable at Sheepshead. He was blessed with extreme wit, and he always remained permanently in awe of God’s constant love, and it always made him grateful to be alive or “for anything to exist at all.”
He is survived by his children, Andre, Meredith (Michael) Clark, Carolyn (Kyle) Blasch, Ethan and Kateri (Daniel) Palkowski; brother, Jerald (Janice); sister, Kathleen (Duane) Ashenbrenner; sister-in-law, Joyce Keller; ex-wife, Christine and her son, Victor; and his five grandchildren, Karynn, Rilee, Myles, Emory and Anton.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert, and nephew, Gary (Ashenbrenner).
Funeral services were held at St. James Catholic Church on Jan. 25, 2014. James’ eternal remains will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Marion, in spring 2014.

JoAnn M. Skenadore, 74, of Green Bay, passed away on Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, in Green Bay. She was born on June 25, 1939, in Keshena and graduated from Shawano High School in 1957.
JoAnn worked in several nursing homes and enjoyed working at the Oneida Casino for many years. JoAnn lived in Green Bay since 1994 and was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Neopit.
JoAnn is survived by her children, Kevin (Kathy) Davis, of Longmont, Colo., Susan (Todd) Howe, of Senatobia, Miss., Shannon Davis, of Green Bay; six grandchildren, Chuck, Tom, Andrew, Tyler, Hayley and Luke; a brother, Mike Lepscier, of Keshena; and a sister, Chyrlcq Irving, of Keshena. JoAnn is further survived by sisters-in-law, Lynn and Mona Skenadore; a half-sister, Jeanette Teller; and a special niece, Paula Keshena.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Myrtle (Grignon) Skenadore; her birth father, Clayton Skenadore; her dad who raised her, Richard Lepscier; brothers and sisters, Clayton “Brokie” Skenadore, Lenore Skenadore, Bernard “Buck” Skenadore, Edith Waukau, Marlene Keshena, Regina “Jeannie Bug” Mahkimetas, Alex Lepscier and Richard “Dick” Lepscier.

Sugar I. Zimmerman, 68, of Green Bay, passed away Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, in Green Bay. Born on Aug. 26, 1945, in Morgan, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Gretta (Tousey) Jacobs.
Sugar worked as a CNA. Her caring personality would shine through to all of those around her, especially on her children and beloved grandchildren. She had a quick wit and a good sense of humor and believed everything happened for a reason, whether good or bad. She loved to cook and bake, especially during the Christmas holiday. She also enjoyed trying new things, going for a drive, and cutting hair for her family and friends. Sugar had a love for animals, especially her cats and dog. On Sept. 13, 2013, she was united in marriage to Eric Zimmerman in Michigan.
Sugar is survived by her husband, Eric; her five children, Darrin (Terri) Church, of Shawano, Danny Church, of Oklahoma, Deanna (John) DeNasha, of Bowler, D “Midget” Church, of Chicago, Derrik “Littleman” Church, of Green Bay; numerous grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; her mother, Gretta Jacobs, of Bowler; and six siblings, Clyde (Betsy) Jacobs, of Minnesota, Rosella Schaff, of Bowler, Neil (Claudia) Jacobs, of Shawano, Nelda Jacobs, of Bowler, Euretta “Buzzi” Rollins, of Bowler, and Gerold “Bear” (Vicki) Jacobs, of Amery.

Eleanor Olson, 93, formerly of the Township of Larrabee, Waupaca County, passed away on Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at the Greentree Health & Rehabilitation Center, Clintonville. Eleanor was born on Sept. 15, 1920, in Mattoon, Shawano County, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Magdalene (Waideliche) Jahnke.
Eleanor was baptized on Sept. 26, 1920, and confirmed on May 13, 1934, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Mattoon. Her Bible verse was “What so ever ye do in work or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him.” Col. 3:17. Eleanor attended the University of Wisconsin and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. She also attended Concordia University Chicago in River Forest, Ill., becoming certified to teach in Lutheran schools. Later, she completed the work to earn a Masters in Education. She taught 15 years in Gresham, Shawano District 8, five years at the Kindersheim in Addison, Ill., and 20 years at Longfellow Elementary School, Clintonville. Eleanor was a 50-year member of Delta Kappa Gamma, a 54-year member of WHCE and a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church, Clintonville, working in many of its organizations.
Eleanor married Arno Olson on April 2, 1945, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Mattoon. The couple lived and farmed in the Township of Larrabee for many years. After retirement, the couple enjoyed traveling. Arno preceded his wife in death on Feb. 23, 2007, after 61 years of marriage.
Survivors include her sisters, Carolyn Radunz, Wausau, and Dr. Reynotta Holberecht, Suisun, Calif.; her brother, James Jahnke, Pelican Lake; many nieces, nephews and godchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arno; her sisters, Lucille Wirrer and Rosemarie Wimmel.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at St. Martin Lutheran Church, Clintonville, with the Rev. Daniel Burns officiating. Spring interment will be in the St. Martin Lutheran Cemetery, Township of Larrabee, Waupaca County. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Martin’s, Clintonville.

Marion Donna Mae (nee Huehnerfuss) Ruechel was born Aug. 18, 1930, in Rib Falls to the late Emil and Goldie (Roeder) Huehnerfuss.
She was united in marriage to Marvin Ruechel on July 23, 1955, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau. Marion was a devoted mother to their two children, Mark and Mary, often baking cookies and taking wonderful care of the family. She was very proud of her grandchildren and relished anytime spent with them. Marion was very active at Rib Mountain Lutheran Church in her younger years, often working with the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed going up north to the lake, where the family would camp in their trailer. Marion’s free time was often spent reading and embroidering.
Marion Ruechel, 83, Wausau, died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, at her home.
Marion is survived by her beloved children, Mark (Nancy) Ruechel and Mary (Chris) Szeklinski; grandchildren, Scott, Brad and Megan; brother, Charles Huehnerfuss; and extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Marvin, and her sister, Delores Oelke.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at Rib Mountain Lutheran Church. The Rev. Raymond Connor will be officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau, resuming Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park at a later time.

Robert Anthony Alesch, 86, passed away peacefully at Agrace HospiceCare on Monday, Feb. 17, 2014. He was born June 7, 1927, in Rockford, Ill., the son of Anthony and Bertha (Berry) Alesch.
Bob grew up in Shawano and graduated from Shawano High School in 1945. A World War II veteran, he enlisted in the Navy and served his country in a Naval Aviation Unit until December 1946. He was united in marriage to Alice Genevieve Dingeldein, of Bonduel, on Nov. 25, 1948, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano. Bob attended the University of Wisconsin, graduating in 1949.
He started a long career for the state of Wisconsin in 1951, culminating as the personnel administrator for the University of Wisconsin System. His most notable accomplishment as personnel administrator was serving as a committee member to craft the current Wisconsin Public Employee Retirement System, which has served to benefit thousands of public servants. During his tenure, Bob served as the president of the National College and University Personnel Association, where he developed many long-term friendships and professional relationships. He retired in 1990 but still kept very active in various professional organizations. Following retirement, Bob continued to serve on the State Insurance Board and the Association of Career Employees for many years. He was also intricately involved with the State Employees Combined Campaign, which raises money for charities statewide.
Bob was an avid runner, racing on many Saturdays and running roads and forest paths all over the world. Throughout their marriage, Bob and Alice traveled to many places throughout North America and Europe. They were avid bowlers and devoted Badger supporters, spending many Saturdays together at Camp Randall. Bob enjoyed golfing and was a member of Cherokee Country Club for over 40 years.
Bob is survived by his brother, Vern (Mary), and sister, Phyllis Ianeri; children, David, Michael (Ann Dee), Richard (Nancy), Barbara (Don) Schultz, and Teri (Petra) Alesch; his seven grandchildren, Adam (Bryenne), Daniel (Trish), Todd, Jon (Lacey), Steven, Kelsey (Chad) Jelsma and Jon Karns; and his seven great-grandchildren, Kayna, Raelyn, Cadence, Hayden and Morgan Alesch, and Addelyn and Zarra Jelsma. He is further survived by other family and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Alice; parents; in-laws; brothers, Don and Gordon; and great-granddaughter Ahnikha Alesch.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter Catholic Church, 5001 N. Sherman Ave, Madison, at noon Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, with Monsignor Charles Schluter and the Rev. Roger Nilles presiding. A visitation will be held at Ryan Funeral Home, 2418 N. Sherman Ave., Madison, from 4-7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, and again at the church from 11 a.m. until time of Mass on Saturday. Private inurnment will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Monona.
His wisdom and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.
