Jim R. Brunker

Jim R. Brunker, 75, of Shawano, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015. Jim was born on March 30, 1940, in Milwaukee, a son of the late Edward and Mary Brunker. He was raised on a farm in Brookfield, Wisconsin.

On Aug. 12, 1961, Jim was united in marriage to Patricia Kranjec at Immaculate Heart Catholic Church in West Allis. Jim was a retired Teamster, having worked for several trucking companies. He was accident free after 26 years of driving.

Jim was always available to help anyone, all it took was a phone call. He was a devoted husband and father. Jim helped coach his sons in baseball and football for several years. He enjoyed watching his sons participate in various sports, and over the years, he was able to watch his grandsons play baseball, participate in fishing tournaments, and many other activities.

Jim was preceded in death by his three brothers, John, Tom, and Richard; and his two sisters, Rosemarie and Eileen.

He is survived by his wife, Pat; his sons, Timothy, Todd, and Tyler; his beloved grandsons, Joshua, Tony, Robert (fiancée Jen), and Teagan; his great-grandson, Lane; his favorite brother-in-law, Randy (Angela); his extended family in Tampa, Florida; and many, many friends.

A time to remember and celebrate the life of Jim Brunker will be held on Monday, Aug. 24, 2015 from 3-4:30 p.m. at Mickelson Funeral & Cremation Service of Shawano, with a memorial service at 4:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has established a memorial in Jim’s name.
