Jean E. Koth

Jean Ellen Koth, 85, of Shawano, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2015, in Shawano.

Jean was born on Sept. 7, 1929, in Tomahawk. She was a graduate of Tomahawk High School. On Sept. 4, 1948, Jean was united in marriage to Oscar E. Koth. The couple relocated often due to Oscar being in the military for 20 years before they returned to Tomahawk and then moved to Shawano in 1970. She was the secretary in the Shawano County Nursing Office, BEJA Temple in Green Bay and at the Shawano Methodist Church until retirement.

Jean was a member of the United Methodist Church in Shawano, the BEJA Ladies, and a member and past matron of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Jean is survived by her children, Kristine (Don) Heidewald, of Crivitz, Trudy Jo (Bruce) Knuepfer, of Green Bay, Edwina Koth, of Gresham, Pamela (Jake Ludvigsen) Pociask and Kurt (Karen) Koth, of Shawano; 11 grandchildren, Chad, Cassandra, Matthew, David, Tracy, Brooke, Aarron, Hunter, Forrest, Jonathan and Alex; and 12 great-grandchildren, Kaden, Madison, Madelyn, CJ, Asha, Chella, Samantha, Brandon, Meadow, Kaley, Aidan and Jennifer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar, in 1992; her daughter, Kelly Jean Bahrke; and her parents, John and Vera (Harris) Jacobson.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015, at the Swedberg Funeral Home with the Rev. Loretta Waegli officiating, with burial in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015, at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. and again on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. An Eastern Star Service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2015.
