Lenore Marie Albers, 87, of Keshena, died on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014, in Keshena. She was born on Feb. 16, 1927, in Chicago to the late Arthur and Nell (Malloy) Lenzer.
Lenore attended St. Sylvester Grammar School and graduated from Providence High School. Lenore was united in marriage to Jack Henry Albers on June 26, 1948. They initially made their home in Elmwood Park, Illinois, before moving to Des Plaines, where they resided 40 years. In 1996, the couple made the transition to Keshena, which they now call home.
Lenore was a member of the St. Sylvester Catholic Church, the Ladies’ Sodality, ACCW and also a former Girl Scout leader.
Lenore is survived by her husband, Jack; five children, Michael Albers, Marianne McKoveck, Nancianne Jensen, Suzanne Priore and James Albers. She also has 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Keshena with the Rev. David McElroy, O. Praem, officiating. Visitation was held at the Father Dave Barrett Hall on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the services. Inurnment will be in the St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery in the spring.
