Shirley M. Koehler, 79, of Andover, Illinois, formerly of East Moline, passed away on Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, at her home.
Funeral services are at 3 p.m. Saturday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Moline, Illinois. Private family committal will be on Monday at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation is from 1 p.m. until service time at the church.
Memorials may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church, where she was a member, or to Bethesda Lutheran Home in Watertown, Wisconsin.
Shirley Peterman was born on Feb. 22, 1935, in Bonduel, the daughter of Herbert and Hertha (Boettcher) Peterman. She married Robert H. Koehler on April 30, 1955, in Bonduel. Shirley enjoyed reading and was a lifetime member of the Illini Hospital Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Robert; daughter, Lori (Jeff) Fones, Galesburg, Illinois; son, Mark (Staci) Koehler, Sherrard, Illinois; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and her sister, Marjorie (Gordon) Ainsworth, Bonduel.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Jeannie, Lois and Janice.
