Carole Lee Bierman

Carole Lee Bierman, 76, Bowler, died on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014, at Shawano Medical Center.

She was born on Jan. 25, 1938, in Manitowoc, the daughter of the late Charles and Matilda (Cootway) Terrio.

On Oct. 3, 1959, Carole was united in marriage to LeRoy Bierman in Wittenberg. He preceded her in death on June 30, 2008.

Carole held various jobs in her early years, but her most cherished job was being the head cook for the Bowler School for over 19 years. Carole was a very crafty person, dabbling in too many crafts to mention. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, and both flower and vegetable gardening. She was known for her outstanding baking, especially her cakes, making them for weddings, anniversaries and any other special occasions.

Survivors include two children, Faith (Dave) Gagnon, Pella, and Marcus (Diane) Bierman, White Pine, Michigan; eight grandchildren, Cassandra Bierman, Benjamin (Jennifer) Bierman, Marcus Bierman, John Tafelski, Paul Tafelski, Cody Gagnon, Jordan Gagnon and April Steinke; four great-grandchildren, Jaymin, Alaina, Olivia and Natalie; her siblings, Bill Terrio, Scottsdale, Arizona, Charles (Char) Terrio, Ringle, Norbert Martzahl, Aniwa, Judy (Robert) Herrmann, Elcho, and Connie (Laverne) Birkholz, Shawano.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Bowler. The Rev. Michael Schram will officiate. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, town of Almon. Visitation will be on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg, and again on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
