Vera D. Miller-Kopan, 93, of Shawano, passed away on Monday, Sept. 22, 2014, in Shawano. She was born on Oct. 25, 1920, in the Township of Red Springs to the late William and Minerva (Tousey) Bogda.
On Dec. 27, 1947, Vera was united in marriage to Dale I. Miller. He preceded her in death on Jan. 29, 1975. Lucky to find love again, she was united in marriage to Robert Kopan on Sept. 14, 1997. Robert also preceded her in death on July 8, 2004. Vera was a sales clerk in the clothing industry for many years. When she was younger she enjoyed fishing. Vera loved going to the casino and playing the slots. Her biggest enjoyment was time spent with her family, especially during the holidays.
Vera is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Vera was preceded by her first husband, Dale; her second husband, Robert; her parents; her brothers, Melvin Bogda and Ferdinand Bogda; and one sister, Hildegard Schwartz.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014, at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with the Rev. Melinda Shriner officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service. Inurnment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano.
