
Lorraine Ann Heger, 79, of Shawano, passed away on Monday, Nov. 9, 2015, in Neenah.
Lorraine was born on Nov. 13, 1935, in the town of Grant to the late Herman and Hildegard (Voight) Bucher. On June 20, 1953, Lorraine was united in marriage to Paul A. Heger Jr. in Split Rock. She lived in Split Rock most of her life, moving to Shawano 20 years ago.
Lorraine worked at Marion Plywood for 13 years. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Split Rock as well as the Ladies Aid. Lorraine enjoyed fishing, sewing, crafting and gardening. She especially enjoyed family gatherings at her home and cooking for them.
Lorraine is survived by her husband, Paul; their children, Marjorie (Lee) Dankmeyer, Karen (Gregory) Wiley, David (Kathleen) Heger and Gary (Tammy) Heger; nine grandchildren, Lori, Scott, Christopher, James, Paula, Amy, Layla, April and Nicole; 12 great-grandchildren; as well as her brother and sister, Jerome (Kathleen) Bucher and Carolyn (Knute) Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Charles.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015, at Peace Lutheran Church in Split Rock with the Rev. Craig Nehring officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
