Sara Lynn Rasmussen, 41, of Bonduel, passed away Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, in Milwaukee.
Sara was born on May 16, 1974, to Alfred and Merriel (Thiede) Niles in Beaver Dam. Sara graduated from Bowler High School. On June 5, 1999, Sara was united in marriage to Steve Rasmussen in Shawano. She had a big heart and was always there to help a friend or family member when needed. In her free time she loved camping and going to movies with her son, Walker. Her family was the most important thing in her life and she absolutely loved being a grandma.
Sara is survived by her husband, Steve; four sons, Justin (Tina) Rasmussen, of Krakow, and their children, Nate and Eli; Tyler Rasmussen, of Shawano, and his sons Aiden, Ruger and Parker; Kyle Niles, of Bonduel, and his son, Jason; and Walker Rasmussen, of Bonduel; her parents, Alfred and Merriel Niles, of Shawano; her siblings, Lori (Charlie Von Deck) Niles, of Clintonville, Brenda (Mena Bahig) Niles, of Fond du Lac, Scott (Tina) Niles, of Wittenberg, and Jeff (Christine) Niles, of Oshkosh; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Donna and Eugene Rasmussen, of Bonduel; a sister-in-law, Judy (Mike) St. Louis, of Michigan; a brother-in-law, Tom (Phyliss) Rasmussen, of Plymouth; and a goddaughter, Sammi Jo Cronin. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service for Sara will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, at the Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel with the Rev. Dan Taylor officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Oct. 23, 2015, from 4-8 p.m. and again on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
