Dale E. Groleau

Dale E. Groleau, 75, of Shawano, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, in the town of Seneca while hunting.

Dale was born on July 5, 1940, in Gladstone, Michigan, to the late O’Neal and Beatrice “Bea” (LeClaire) Groleau. On Dec. 1, 1979, in Shawano, he was united in marriage to Barbara Schuster Rades. He lived in Shawano for most of his life and worked for L.J. Sperberg Construction.

Dale was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and enjoyed hunting, watching NASCAR, doing wood working and being an avid Packers fan.

Dale is survived by his wife, Barbara; seven children, Kim Schmeider, Renee (Rick) Oh, Lora Le (Darwin) Martin, Dale (special friend, Sheryle Boyde) Groleau, Danielle Groleau, Traci (Brad) Galleske and Brenda Moesch; grandchildren, Joseph (Amanda) Oh, Jennifer Oh, Amanda Oh, Katie (Alex) Stulo, Cassandra (Dakota) Warren, Kellie and Matthew Schmeider, Angela and Michaela Martin, Hunter and Jasmine Galleske, Neeya Gueths, Amy and Andrea Moesch; seven great-grandchildren; as well as one brother, Gregg (Vern) Groleau; one sister, Bonnie (Larry) Sperberg; and his former wife, Karen (Popp) VanRyzin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son-in-law, Mike Schmeider; parents-in-law, Ray and Irene (Maltby) Schuster.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano with the Rev. David Barrett officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015, from 4-8 p.m. and again at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
