Delores Mary Schweitzer, 79, of Shawano, passed away on Monday, Oct. 12, 2015, in Appleton.
Delores was born in Milwaukee on Dec. 22, 1935, to the late Edward and Kathrine (Weting) Barbian. On June 14, 1952, in Milwaukee, Delores was united in marriage to Thomas Schweitzer. She was very involved with Red River Riders.
Delores is survived by her husband of 63 years, Thomas; their children, Linda (Randall) Contant, of Lake Geneva, Patricia (Michael) Zellmer, of Costa Mesa, California, John (Tammy) Schweitzer, of Mayville, David (Linda) Schweitzer, of Horicon, James Schweitzer, of Shawano, and Diane (Allen) Hartwig, of Clintonville; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; her brother, Kenneth Barbian, of Milwaukee; as well as her sister-in-law, Delores (John) Gill, of Milwaukee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Clifford and James, and one sister-in-law, Joan.
Private family services were held. Entombment will be in Forest Home Cemetery in Milwaukee.
Memorials may be directed to Red River Riders in Delores’s name.
