Albert J. Roberts, 94, of Keshena, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2015, at his home. Albert was born on Nov. 25, 1920, in Gillespie, Illinois, the son of the late Jess and Elizabeth (Kalhar) Roberts. On April 24, 1968, Albert was united in marriage to Patricia “Pat” Vigue in Chicago.
Al was a homebody. He enjoyed vegetable gardening, canning, hunting and fishing, as well as making and repairing fishing rods. He loved watching the Packers and never missed a game. More than anything, Albert loved spending time with his family.
Albert is survived by his wife, Pat; his children, Patrick (Deanna), Thomas, Susan (Todd), Fritzie (Rick), Sally, Keith (Delores), Jeri and Debbie (Bill); his grandchildren, Whitney (Tony), Kortney, Brandon, Jase, Destiney (Quentin), Dusty, Keane, Ken, Megan, Eric, Matthew, Isaac, Jenny, Nicki, Theodore, Fritz, Evie (Chris), Dee, Bobby (Stephanie), Michelle (Awaseah), Naomi (Norman), Weston (Tracy), and Tricia (Dan); and 46 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Melody; one grandson, Jeff; one great-grandson; his parents; four sisters, Hilda, Louise, Nadeen and Riva; and two brothers, Harry and Johnny.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 31, 2015, at St. Michael Catholic Church with the Rev. David Barrett officiating. Inurnment will be in the St. Joseph of the Lake Cemetery in South Branch. Visitation will be held at the Roberts’ residence, N864 State Highway 47-55 in Keshena, on Wednesday, July 29, 2015, from 4 p.m. until the procession leaves for the church on Friday.
