Margaret “Megan” LaFond, 65, found peace on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, after a long struggle with illnesses. She was born on Aug. 31, 1948, to John C. Black and Mary “Jean” Black.
She is survived by her two children, Carrie (Bill) Grahn and CJ (Vicki) LaFond, of Madison.
She was one of seven children, survived by her mother, Mary “Jean” Black; sister, MaryAnn (Tom) Callum; and brothers, Johnny, Joe, Tim (Lori) and Charlie Black; and niece, Lydia Black.
She was preceded in death by her father, John C. Black, and sister, Alice E. Black.
She was a loving and devoted grandmother to Alex and Claire Grahn and Max and Maccoy LaFond.
She will be fondly remembered for her style and creativity. A private service will be held at a later date in Shawano.
