Dorothy H. Webster, 93, of Shawano, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday morning, June 20, 2015, at Maple Lane Health Care Center.
Dorothy was born June 30, 1921, in Shawano, a daughter of the late Freeman and Lena (Seehafer) Peterson. Dorothy attended school in Leopolis. On June 7, 1942, she was united in marriage to Raymond B. Webster at St. John Lutheran Church in Leopolis. Following their marriage, the couple moved to Shawano.
Dorothy worked at various jobs throughout her life in the Shawano area. Her husband preceded her in death on Feb. 8, 2004.
Dorothy was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church in Shawano. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed taking trips and spending time with her family at the cottage.
Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Patricia Teske, of Shawano, and Sherry (Bill) Rusch, of Little Chute; six grandsons and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Roger (Carol) Peterson, of Leopolis, as well as nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by one daughter, Bonnie Muslick; two grandsons, Jason Rusch and William Rusch in infancy; and two brothers, Owen Peterson and Eugene Peterson.
Funeral services for Dorothy Webster will be held on Wednesday, June 24, at 11:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church of Shawano. Pastor Gisele Berninghaus will officiate. Interment is scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Leopolis. Relatives and friends may call at Zion Lutheran Church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
