
Edith A. Flessert, 86, of Shawano, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015, and joined her loved ones in heaven.
Edith was born on Aug. 29, 1928, in Madison, the daughter of the late Alfred and Dorothy (Neu) Denton. She was united in marriage to Fred Flessert on Sept. 13, 1946. Fred preceded her in death on July 10, 2003.
Edith was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church in Shawano. She was a very kind and sweet woman who will be missed by all who knew her.
Edith is survived by her children, Dan (Diane) Flessert, of Shawano, Rose Flessert, of Shawano, and Gary Flessert, of California; six grandchildren, Sara Flessert, Elizabeth (Nick Brady) Flessert, Diane Flessert, Kristie (Robert) Voechting, Kevin (Kristi) Flessert and Nicole (fiance Louis Moses) Flessert; many great-grandchildren; one brother, John Barden, of Waunakee; one sister, Marilyn Rowin, of Westfield; and one brother-in-law, Ron (Deidra) Butz, of Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two children, Rueben and Diane; two sisters, Dolores and Carol; one brother, Alfred; a special sister-in-law, Stella; and her husband, Fred Flessert.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2015, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with the Rev. Giselle Berninghaus officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
