Nancy L. Miller

Nancy Lee Miller, 77, of Shawano, passed away on April 21, 2015, in Shawano.

Nancy was born on May 8, 1937, in Milwaukee to the late Henry and Ethel (Hoppe) Lohrentz. She graduated from Shawano High School in 1955. On May 5, 1962, Nancy was united in marriage to James O. Miller at Zion Lutheran Church in Gresham. James preceded her in death on May 17, 2000.

Nancy was a hard worker and farmed for many years until her retirement. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. In her free time, she loved gardening, doing puzzles and crafts, especially knitting, and in her younger years she enjoyed fishing. Nancy loved her family, but especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Nancy is survived by her son, Tim (Jodi) Miller, of Shawano; her daughter-in-law, Beth Miller, of Shawano; and four grandchildren, Kyle, Kenton and Zachary Miller and Jason Eggert.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James; two sons, Robert and Donald Miller; her parents; and one sister, Janice Lohrentz.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 25, 2015, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Pella with the Rev. Tim Lofgren officiating. Burial will be in the Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano on Friday, April 24, 2015, from 4-7 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staffs at Birch Hill and Kindred Hearts for the loving care they gave to Nancy.
