
Cleo A. Holewinski, 87, of Shawano, formerly of Green Bay, passed away Wednesday evening, March 4, 2015, at ManorCare of Shawano, where she had been a resident for the past three years.
Cleo was born May 26, 1927, in Green Bay, a daughter of the late Daniel and Anna (Marto) Nelson. She attended school in Green Bay. In 1959, Cleo was united in marriage to Ray Holewinski.
Cleo had been employed as a sales clerk for many years at Schmidt’s Department Store and later at the H.C. Prange Department Store in Green Bay. Her husband preceded her in death in 1998. Cleo is a former member of Grace Presbyterian Church, Green Bay. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and was an avid sketch artist.
She is survived by her children, daughter Linda Vandenack, of Shawano, and son Dale (Darlene) Rouse Sr., of Bonduel; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Cleo is further survived by several nieces and nephews.
Cleo was preceded in death by her sister, Lorraine Radetski, and her brother, Daniel Nelson.
Funeral services for Cleo Holewinski will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Mickelson Funeral and Cremation Service of Shawano. Pastor Susan Phillips will officiate. Entombment will be at Fort Howard Cemetery, Green Bay. Relatives and friends may call at Mickelson Funeral Service after 10 a.m. Wednesday.
