Roger P. Treptow, 70, Wabeno, died Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born on Dec. 30, 1944, the son of the late Edward Treptow Sr. and Lucille (Fuhrman) Treptow, Wittenberg.
Roger was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of Davenport-Lang American Legion Post 414, Bowler. He worked as a welder at the former J.I. Case, Schofield, for over 25 years. Roger enjoyed going for rides on his yellow boat, ATVing and snowmobiling. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, but he especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his life partner since 1973, Rose Serrano, Wabeno; his mother, Lucille Treptow, Wittenberg; one son, John (Theresa) Serrano, Birnamwood; two grandchildren, Terri Serrano and Joseph Serrano; and his siblings, Ken (Melodie) Treptow, Hinckley, Illinois, Betty Treptow, Fond du Lac, Dick (Sandi Pranke) Treptow, Wittenberg, Ed (Cindy) Treptow, Bowler, and Patsy (Gary) Koenig, Bowler. He is also survived by Rose’s family, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his father, Roger was preceded in death by one son, Mark Serrano, one brother, Gerald Treptow, and sister-in-law, Pat Treptow.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Bowler. The Rev. Michael Schram will officiate. Interment will be in the town of Almon Cemetery, Shawano County, with military rites conducted by the Bloecher-Johnson American Legion Post 502. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
