Larry W. Lane, 63, of Menasha, passed away Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King. He was born in Appleton on Feb. 16, 1950, the son of Vernon L. Lane and Betty G. (Bleck) Lane.
Larry was a proud Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Challenge the Outdoors and loved to hunt, boat and fish. He also enjoyed chatting on his computer.
Larry is survived by his wife, Linda, of Menasha; children, Alex (Darlinda) Dross, of North Carolina, and Amy St. Germain, of West Bend; grandchildren, Kristy Metts, Shonda Hatfield, Sheila (Zach) Pilkington-Beltz and Joe Dross; three great-grandchildren; and a niece, Tammy Stanchik, of Oshkosh.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Vernon L. Lane Jr.
A committal service and military honors will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at the Macarthur Hall Chapel at the Wisconsin Veterans Home. Chaplain Wayne Schwanke will officiate. Visitation will be held at the chapel from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King.
The Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca assisted the family with arrangements.
