David S. Craven, 52, of Clintonville, formerly of Charleston, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, Aug. 7, 2014, at his residence.
David was born March 23, 1962, in Charleston, South Carolina, a son of the late James D. Craven and Dagmar Valeria Snelson. He attended school in South Carolina, later moving to Texas with his family. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in San Antonio, Texas, with the class of 1980. David started driving truck right after high school and had been employed at Hoffman Transit in Gresham for over 12 years, retiring in 2007. He was an avid fisherman and loved to spend time with his grandkids.
David is survived by his loving wife, Tina Rhinehardt, of Clintonville; three children, Jennifer (Blake Prenot) Hull, Preston Hull and Stephanie Leese; four grandchildren, Serenity, Alexander, Payton and Lillian; brother, James Earl Platt, of Charleston; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and several aunts and uncles.
A gathering of relatives and friends to remember and celebrate the life of David S. Craven will be held on Sunday, Aug. 17, from 1:30-3 p.m. at Mickelson Funeral and Cremation Service of Shawano.
