Miss Lorraine A. Stuewer, 104, of Shawano, passed away at Evergreen Care Center in Shawano on Sunday morning, June 8, 2014.
Lorraine was born on Oct. 12, 1909, in the town of Lessor, Shawano County, a daughter of the late Adolph and Eleanora (Borchardt) Stuewer.
At one time, Lorraine worked as a housekeeper for the Cantwell families in Shawano, and later worked at the former Patio Restaurant in Shawano.
Lorraine was a longtime member of St. James Lutheran Church, Shawano.
Lorraine is survived by her nephews, Bill (Tillie) Kallies, of Bonduel, Art (Marcia) Brodhagen, of Green Bay; nieces, Lilia (Oscar) Dirks, of Wausau, Mildred Buboltz, of De Pere, and Harriet Fester, of Bridgman, Michigan; several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Lorraine was preceded in death by six sisters, Gertrude, Hedwig, Amanda, Elsbeth, Clara and Edna, and a brother, Max.
Funeral services for Lorraine will be held on Friday, June 13, at 11 a.m. at Schroeder-Mickelson Funeral Service of Shawano. Pastor Ted Andrada will officiate. Interment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Shawano. Relatives and friends may call at Schroeder-Mickelson Funeral Service on Friday from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service.
