Barbara Agnes Hollrith, 82, of Shawano, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014, at Shawano Medical Center following a stroke. Born on June 20, 1931, she was the daughter of the late John and Laura (Jonas) Hueller.
On March 31, 1951, she married Marvin Hollrith in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on Feb. 19, 2002. Barbara was also preceded in death by her son, Capt. James Hollrith, and her sister, Ruth Herzer.
Barbara enjoyed living on Shawano Lake for over 30 years. She kept active most of her adult life with sports, including swimming, golfing and bowling. She volunteered for many years with Special Olympics and was a swimming instructor. Barb was a member of the Red Hat Society.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Heidi Cowan; two sons, John (Sandy) Hollrith, Joel (Tonya) Hollrith; seven grandchildren, Adam, Nathan, Heather, Bradley, Samantha, Tanner, Ashley; a great-grandson, Archer; and her sister, Lois Anton.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano is assisting the family with the arrangements.
