
Charles Rolland “Chuck” Helsinger Sr., 73, of Keshena, passed away on Nov. 9, 2015, at his home.
Charles was born in Milwaukee on Nov. 14, 1941, the son of the late Florence (Heron) Helsinger. In July 1965, he was united in marriage to Mary Caldwell in Illinois. Chuck worked as an auto mechanic, but most recently was self-employed as a truck driver. He had a love for fast cars and enjoyed fixing them up. In his free time, Chuck enjoyed fishing and going to the casino. Most of all, Chuck was proud of his “little babies,” his birds, Charlie and Sam, and loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Mary; six children, Deborah Helsinger, of Shawano, Brian (Rhonda) Helsinger, of K-Town, Kathy (Waldon) Peters Sr., of Neopit, Jodi (Robert) Simono, of Gillett, Jolene (Javier) Paredes-Ruiz, of Milwaukee, and Charles (Tabitha) Helsinger Jr., of Suring; grandchildren, ChristaLee (Tim), Christapher, Shannon, Patrick, Chelsea, Cierra, Brian Jr., Raymond, Landen, Tiffany (Devan Sr.), Waldon Jr. (Justine), Katelynn (Joe Jr.), Daniel, Cassandra, Lillian, Passion, Aiyana and Gavyn; great-grandchildren, Kiyrah, Waldon III, Tayson, Devan Jr., Joey III and Maurice Jr.; one sister, Joan Seager; special granddaughter, Alysse; special son, Coltyn; and his “little babies,” Charlie and Sam.
He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Florence and Al Schroeder; one sister, Joyce; his mother-in-law, Myrtle; and several sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13, 2015, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Neopit with the Rev. Dave Barrett officiating. Visitation will be held at the Waldon and Kathy Peters residence, N3464 Cottage Ave., Neopit, from 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2015, until the procession leaves for the church on Friday.
