Darlene A. Prey, 88, of Clintonville, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015, in Shawano. Darlene was born on Feb. 18, 1927, in Gresham to the late James and Bessie (Richards) Fischer. On May 29, 1948, in Gresham, she was united in marriage to Donald C. Prey. Donald preceded her in death on Dec. 29, 1990. Darlene and Donald farmed in the town of Waukechon for many years. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine, where she was a founding member of the Ladies Aid. Darlene enjoyed gardening, cooking and quilting.
Darlene is survived by: her children, David (Christine) Prey and Dennis Prey, both of Clintonville; two grandchildren, Nicholas (Deanna) Prey and Michael (Erin) Prey, of Shawano; and two great-grandchildren, Madden and Saylor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, her parents, two brothers and one sister.
Graveside services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 16, 2015, with the Rev. Todd Jerabek officiating. A memorial fund has been established for St. John Lutheran Church. Swedberg Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
